The Norwegian astrophysicist dedicated most of his life to researching dark matter. He received a master's and doctor's degrees in philosophy of physics. Phil works at Sanford Underground Research Facility. He lives on his own--he has no children and his wife left him many years ago. Phil loves order and is pedantic about everything. Besides science, his hobbies include game theory and music. Phil possesses a phenomenal memory, which allows him to keep a huge amount of information in his head.
